Creative Wedding Favor Ideas That Every Guest Will Adore
Picture this. The wedding was beautiful, you and your guests had the best time, and the night was magical just like everyone expected it to be. You were surrounded by your favorite people while laughing, dancing, and socializing. You made their night and they made yours! In a big way, your wedding was a dream come true because of the energy and good spirits that your guests brought into it, and for that, you are so thankful. The best way to show that gratitude is with the end of the night wedding favors, of course! Wedding favors are gifts that the guests can take home. These gifts typically come in the form of small tokens that correspond with the wedding's theme. They’re even better when they can be used repeatedly, even after the wedding day. On your end, you get to be creative and thoughtful, and, on their end, they get to feel appreciated. I love wedding favors so much, so without further ado, let's get into my favorites!
NOTE* the majority of these favors can be personalized with a monogram, your initials, and date, etc., or you can attach a personalized card that can be customized.
POUCH CARRIERS
Ah yes. We can never go wrong with customized pouch carriers as wedding favors. They can hold trinkets, jewelry, or perhaps some coins! You can even attach them as a keychain. You will never lose a tiny item again. Plus, the pouch can be monogrammed however you like, and you can stay on theme with your wedding color palette.
DECK OF CARDS
Talk about a wedding favor that will make each card game special. Each deck can have a cute picture of you and your spouse on the back. It’s a sweet reminder and a cute conversation starter when you have friends over for game night.
SCENTED CANDLES
Who doesn’t love a free candle? This idea is adorable because candles smell amazing and since scent is often connected to memory, any moment they burn the candle, they’ll be reminded of the beautiful day they took part in.
MASON JARS OR HONEY JARS
I love seeing mason jars or honey jars sent home with guests as wedding favors. You can personalize them with wedding details, the guest’s names, or chic designs. Also, the guests can keep them forever and reuse them for anything they like. Sweet and practical.
PHOTO MAGNETS
We always put the things we are most proud of and love the most on the fridge. Pictures, drawings, and kind cards – nothing but sweet mementos, and what do we use to hang them up? Magnets. Let’s combine the two! A magnetic picture of the bride and groom will always be a cute wedding favor to send home with your guests.
LEATHER LUGGAGE TAGS
If you’re doing a destination wedding or want to provide a gift to your friends that love to travel. Give them customized leather luggage tags that are printed with cute travel sayings or your wedding details. They will never lose their luggage again!
SALT AND PEPPER SHAKERS
Pass me the salt and pepper, please. Oh, how superb these are! They’re mini, ready to use, and in most homes, are a household favorite. You can design them in whatever style you like, and they will find a space on everyone’s table. No unseasoned meals here!
COFFEE MUGS
But of course, we can never forget coffee mugs! They are the king of practicality, reusability, and charm. The gift that cannot go wrong. You can have them created in any style you want, engraved with whatever you want, and you can add pictures. Nothing like a great cup of coffee or tea in the perfect mug.
MATCHBOXES
So many people love collecting matchboxes and I get why. Matchboxes are tiny, practical, and way cooler than lighters. No hate to lighters of course, but it’s hard to beat the feeling of striking a match to light a candle. You can customize the boxes which make this wedding favor even cuter.
TEABAGS OR COFFEE BAGS
Send your guests home with the calming effects of herbal teas or with the energy boost of gourmet coffee. You can pick out your favorite herbal flavors or coffee beans. Whether they have a cup at night to calm or a cup in the morning to ignite, the aromas will transport them back to a most enchanting evening spent with the bride, groom, and friends.
ENGRAVED COASTERS
Make each drink your guests set down special. I love seeing coasters given out at weddings. You can get flexible with the engravements, shapes, and colors. Plus, we all need them, and they are super fun to collect.
KEYCHAIN BOTTLE OPENER OR BOTTLE STOPPER
If you’re looking for practicality, bottle stoppers, bottle openers or keychain bottle openers are fantastic wedding favors. They can be designed to match the theme of your wedding, as well as make each of your guests a cool person who always has a bottle opener when no one else can find one. OR the person that can provide the cork. Saving the day one opened and closed bottle at a time!
WOODEN ORNAMENT
This one has some added magic to it. The holiday seasons are a few of the best months of the year and with a wooden ornament, you can add even more magic to it! Ornaments are incredibly special and when they are sentimental or personal, hanging them up brings extra holiday cheer into the home.
KOOZIES
In this blog, we’re covering the topics of bottle openers, closers, and bottles in general, so how can we forget koozies? A koozie is an insulator made of foam, neoprene, or another fabric that surrounds a container to keep the drink cool. They keep your drink cold and your hands warm, how could guests not love them? Like many other items on this list, you can even customize them.
SOAP
Artisanal handmade soap is clean, fragrant, and unique. You can choose the ingredients, scents, and design carvings. It can be used for washing or used for decorative purposes.
MINI WINE OR CHAMPAGNE BOTTLE
Don’t let the party end, even after the wedding does. Give the gift of a delicious mini bottle of wine or champagne. Your guests can have a nightcap while admiring the stylish custom-made label.
MINI FLORAL MAGNET BOUQUETS
Beautiful, dried florals wrapped in an elegant bow with an engraved emblem are so pretty to look at and it’s mini which makes it extra cute! Add a magnet to the back and your guests can put the bouquet beauty on the fridge.
HOT CHOCOLATE KIT
Hot chocolate is a fantastic gift to send home with guests after a long day. It’s warm, sweet and since it's already packaged, your guests will only need to add water or milk, heat it, and sit down and relax. Warm cocoa and a good night’s rest are exactly what the wedding doctor ordered.
MINI SIZE SANITIZER BOTTLES
In this new world of covid-19, I think we can all agree that extra safety against germs is a popular desire and necessity, so let’s make it cute! After a long day of being social, send your guests home feeling extra clean with monogrammed mini hand sanitizer bottles. They can use it daily and even keep the spray bottle as a reminder of a very special day.
WEDDING COOKIES, MACRONS, OR CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES
Sure, these wedding favors may be eaten on the ride home or possibly the next morning for breakfast. They’re not long-lasting or reusable but who cares when they’re so yummy and charming! Late-night dessert owns a little piece of all our hearts. Celebrate love all day, dance all night at the reception, and end the event with a sweet treat in the cutest packaging.
HOT SAUCE
Keep things spicy with a custom label or custom-made hot sauces. I think we can all accept that most of us have an addiction to hot sauce. Hot sauce wedding favors are reusable for quite some time and will be an exciting gift for the guest to take home. Thankful to your guests for attending your wedding? Show them with some extra mild, medium, or hot flavors!
MINTS
The ultimate refreshment after a night of open bars and gourmet food, right? These wedding favors may be a one-time experience, but your guests will feel so grateful. Package them however you want and give your favorite humans a breath of fresh air.
GOURMET POPCORN
Think ahead and assume your guests will have late-night cravings after the wedding by sending them home with gourmet popcorn. Make it salty, sweet, or both and top it off with fancy packaging and an adorable bow. They will be excitedly thanking you for the savory snack.
GARDEN SEEDS OR SUCCULENTS
The symbolism of sending your guests home with a plant seeds kit or succulents is quite beautiful. Like your love grows, so can their plants! The plant will have a special place in their hearts and hopefully a special place on their windowsill.
BLANKETS OR HANDKERCHIEFS
Let’s get cozy! A monogrammed blanket is the warmest of gifts you can offer to your guests and a handkerchief is incredibly practical with a hint of nostalgia. Whether they are getting comfy with your blanket for movie night or dabbing at a few fallen tears with the handkerchief, they will always feel prepared.
SHOT GLASSES
Give friends, family members and collectors alike the gift that keeps giving – a shot glass! Shot glasses are fun, beloved by many, and easy to use for many occasions. They are also a fantastic item to add to ongoing collections. Each time your guests reach for your shot glass, they’ll have fond memories, smile, pour a 1.5oz of their favorite spirit and gather to cheers!
LOLLIPOPS
These wedding favors belong in the sweetest sweets category. Again, they are so fun to create. So many shapes, sizes, colors, and flavors to choose from. Wrap them, tie them in a bow and hand them out at the end. It’ll feel like a wedding and a candy factory, which is so much fun!
These wedding favors are amongst the cutest, most creative, and most popular ones that I’ve seen at weddings in the last few years. A few are oldies but goodies, some are new and with the times and the others are a bit of both! This list is a fantastic starting point but always remember that party favors can quite literally be anything you want, so make them personal, unique, funny, or extravagant. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that you’ve created a tiny token from your wedding – a parting gift, that makes your guests feel loved and appreciated.
